If all you did was upgrade the phone, then why would both the iPad and Mac stop working? Reset your camera's Wi-Fi settings, and create new setups for each wireless device. BTW, a USB cable to the Mac is best.
The EOS Utility has its own EOS Utility Launcher Service, which determines which camera model has been detected and will launch EOS Utility 2 or 3, depending on the detected camera model. You may also test the results with different USB ports on your PC, too. Some platforms add extra USB ports by using a port expander.
